"Barako" - movie trailer
Yes! It's a movie based on Ibaan's history that rather reflects the Filipino experience.
Not your usual action-packed, anti-admi political film, though. "It's more sociological," says Manolito Sulit, the movie's writer, director and producer.
"Barako" has been co-produced by Warly Guerra and partially funded by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.
Starring Arnold Reyes, Leo Martinez, Carlon Matobato and Dennis Marasigan. Launched at CCP in 2007 as a Cinemalaya Exhibition Film and released commercially in July 2008.
